Joint Ventures

We currently have four strategically important joint ventures.

NATCO Al-Rushaid Middle East Limitedis a joint venture between NATCO Group Inc. and Al-Rushaid Group, a prominent organization with significant capabilities in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including engineering, manufacturing, construction, and drilling. We have an excellent working relationship and the partnership opens up many prospects for growing the business. The combination of NATCO Technology with local in-Kingdom fabrication promotes job creation in both the US and Saudi Arabia, while delivering value to all customers in the region.

The joint venture, established in 2007, is engaged in the construction of a new, dedicated vessel manufacturing facility within Al-Rushaid’s industrial complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The facility will open in mid-2009 to focus on equipment sales and fabrication for new and retrofit applications in the substantial Middle East oil and gas market.

ScomiNATCO is a joint venture between Scomi Group Bhd, a global service provider in the oil and gas industry and NATCO Group, Inc. Established to operate mainly in South East Asia, the joint venture focuses on gas processing, oil and water treatment and water injection applications in that market. ScomiNATCO combines NATCO proprietary technologies with engineering and manufacturing capabilities in the region. ScomiNATCO engineers, manufactures and markets turnkey oil, gas and water processing systems for oil and gas production, petrochemical and refining industries.

NATCO Japan Company Ltd. is a joint venture between NATCO Group Inc., Modec Inc. (Modec), and Daiichi Jitsugyo, Ltd. (DJK). Modec brings world-renowned expertise and years of valuable experience in the FPSO construction market. NATCO brings a full range of oil and water technologies as well as experience in engineering and designing process systems for topsides, while DJK allows strategic positioning of NATCO technologies in the regional market, particularly in electrostatic oil dehydration/desalting for refineries and gas treatment.


TEST Angola is a joint venture between Prodiaman and NATCO TEST Angola, established in 2004 to provide instrumentation and electrical services, control system design and fabrication, systems engineering, hydraulic power units and chemical injection systems to the oil & gas industry in Angola. Operating with exceptional safety performance as a key focus, the joint venture is active with major integrated oil companies operating in the region. Prodiaman offers petroleum engineering, drilling fluids, plus design and service of control panel systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical) that monitor the production of oil and gas. TEST Automation & Control, acquired by NATCO in 1997, brings expertise in design, manufacturing, programming, installation and service of control systems.
