Produced Water

Managing produced water is integral to managing operating costs. Over the life of the well or field, the volume of water produced will exceed the volume of oil produced by a factor of 3 to 6 times. Operators are faced with two big challenges in this area: adhering to environmental regulations concerning produced water, and how to handle large amounts of produced water at the lowest possible cost.

Offshore and onshore applications have unique requirements for integrating effective designs. Choose from a complete line of NATCO technologies with advanced features that ensure high-efficiency and lower operating costs for these tricky applications.

Produced water treatment systems, incorporating bulk oil, free oil, dispersed oil removal, and water polishing and disposal methods, can be designed and specified for your unique requirements. Technologies are available as standard product ranges, or we can engineer and fabricate integrated systems and provide the application experts to ensure successful produced water treatment solutions that will meet your long term needs.

For gravity separation and free-water knock-out applications consider the Performax® Coalescer or the Flo-Splitter™ technology for simple yet effective designs with excellent efficiency.

For secondary separation applications requiring efficient free oil and solids removal from produced water, your choices include hydrocyclone technology like the Oilspin AV™ line of products designed to accommodate a wide range of flow rates, and our Tripak™ CPI separator technology.

For final polishing stage we offer our Tridair™ Versaflo™ IGF – a breakthrough in vertical column single-cell induced gas flotation design.

If you need high purity removal for oil droplets greater than 2 micron, we offer membrane filtration. Membrane systems for water separation are high-quality, cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly solutions, and we have a complete range of water membrane separation technologies like microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), Nanofiltration SRM, and reverse osmosis (RO).

For deck drainage prior to overboard discharge, the final stage of produced water treatment, we offer skim pile designs. Alleviate the environmental concerns of offshore storm water runoff with our systems guaranteed to remove all oil globules larger than 50 microns.
