HIPERFILTER SFX

Offering high efficiency, deep multi-bed filtration at very high filtration flux rates, NATCO’s Hiperfilter SFX is specifically designed to provide long, reliable service over a wide range of operating conditions, with high performance, efficiency, and reliability.

With approximately 30% saving in weight over conventional filters, the compact and robust equipment is ideal for offshore platforms, and can be used in new applications or to upgrade and retrofit existing installations. The design of the inlet and outlet headers and lateral distributors mean less mudballing, flow channeling, poor water quality, and media loss. Because of the flexibility in the design, the filters can be configured to achieve water qualities with free oil levels below 5ppm, and solids removal efficiency of up to 98% at 2 microns. Chemical requirements are minimized, downtime is reduced, and a low level of operator assistance is needed. This offers a safer working environment and can substantially reduce overall operating costs.

Although most commonly used for treating seawater, the Hiperfilter SFX has applications in other processes. Where produced water is to be treated onshore, for reinjection into the oil reservoir or where the water is to be disposed of in environmentally-sensitive areas, the Hiperfilter SFX can be used for polishing. And although not quite as efficient as the Hiperfilter SFX, NATCO Nutshell filters can also be considered for produced water applications.

Applications include:

  • Solids filtration in seawater injection systems.
  • Solids filtration in river water or aquifer injection systems
  • Potable water filtration systems
  • Process water filtration systems
  • Oil and solids removal for refinery or industrial waste water applications
  • Oil and solids removal for produced water treatment systems
