The NATCO TriPack™ Corrugated Plate Interceptor, or CPI, is an effective technology for free oil removal in produced water treatment. Our CPI design employs a series of corrugated plates inclined at opposite angles, in close proximity, for the most effective treatment and free oil removal.
Oil rises along the underside of the plates to the surface, while sediment falls downward. The unique design is well suited to the smaller available plot space of the offshore environment, with an increased settling area per unit volume not available in standard settling tanks.
This separation process efficiently removes oil droplets down to 40 microns.
Available as either atmospheric units or as pressure vessel designs, the units can be equipped to operate as a closed system, with all VOCs vented or scavenged, to minimize HSE issues.
