For offshore fields and platforms, Topside Umbilical Termination Assemblies (TUTA) provide the interface between the topside control equipment and the main umbilical system under water. Typically fully-enclosed units, they incorporate electrical junction boxes for the electrical power and communication cables, as well as tube work, gauges, and block and bleed valves for the appropriate hydraulic and chemical systems.
